I have a mid 2012 13" MacBook Air. Replaced battery, the thermal paste with Artic MX-4 and installed a 1TB Samsung SSD, 1GB LPDDR4 cache with the help of an adapter. Which SSD type can I use I've just bought a MacBook Air mid 2013 but needs a new SSD I've looked on eBay and there are two very similar one has part number 655-1837C the other is 655-1837D so just the last letters different and wanted to know if they will both work in my laptop.

They use PCI-E based flash storage, otherwise known as an SSD. In theory, you can upgrade to 1 tb, however, it's pricey.

The native SSD of the 11-inch MacBook Air Early 2015 is only compatible with macOS 10.13 when it is used as external storage. The 480GB / 960GB JetDrive 500 is not supported by the 11-inch MacBook Air Late 2010 model due to mechanical limitations.
